Kanu, Art Alade, Iheme Others Storm Calabar For Eagles
Former Super Eagles skipper, Nwankwo Kanu, who helped Nigeria to its one and only Olympics gold medal win, way back at the Atlanta ’96 Olympics might not be a new face at the Eagles camp, but his imposing presence and motivation was absolute when the team had its last training session in Calabar on Friday morning before the clash against a boastful Ethiopia on Saturday.

Kanu was not alone in the drive to make the Super Eagles one of the best national teams in the world. Sultry voiced R&B top act,  Dare Art Alade, was also on ground to give support to the national team, donning his green and white national colours ahead of Saturday’s duel. He was even at the last training session to ginger the team.
Nollywood stars, were also represented at Friday’s training as petit Osita Iheme, popular known as paw-paw, was also on hand to give the Eagles first hand support. Infact,  Iheme along side Kanu, boarded the team’s bus with all the players and official on board only to give moral support to the team.
Eagles Media Officer, Ben Alaiya, quotes Assistant Coach Dan ‘The Bull’ Amokachi as saying that there are many more music and Nollywood stars who are already in the city just for the World Cup qualifier and the team appreciates their support and will not disappoint.  “Certainly, we won’t disappoint them and Nigerians”, he said.
