[UNN CRISIS] ASUU Secretary Sacked Over Unauthorised Negotiation with Varsity

The Secretary of the University of Nigeria branch of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Dr. Aaron Agbo, sacked by his colleagues after being accused of unauthorised negotiation with the university administration in the ongoing demonstrations for the recall of the pro- chancellor, Dr. Emeka Enejere.
The decision has been made on January 7, 2014, Tuesday.
Dr. Agbo, who is in the Department of Psychology, had held the post for only a year before the sudden loss of it.
A panel headed by a senior academic, Professor Damian Opata, Head of Department of English, was also set up to determine further punishment to be meted out to the former ASUU scribe.
Members of the four unions in the university operating as Joint Action Committee (JAC) on January 6, 2014, Monday, resumed the demonstrations, which have been suspended for Christmas and New Year break.
However, Dr. Agbo issued a notice instructing lecturers not to join the other four unions.
The chairman, Dr. Ifeanyi Abada, promptly countered the instruction in a different notice mobilising his colleagues.
Academic staff of all levels, therefore, joined the other three unions and marched round Nsukka campus on Monday but unknown to them, Dr. Abada had gone to a meeting reportedly called by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Bartho Okolo, at Enugu campus in an attempt to negotiate with the staff.
The other unions, apart from ASUU, were National Association of Academic Technicians, NAAT; Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU, Enugu Campus; and Non- Academic Staff Union, NASU, Nsukka Campus.
Sources said workers at the Enugu Campus, however, resisted the attempt to negotiate with JAC in that meeting.
It would be noted that before the demonstration on January 7, 2014, Tuesday, ASUU convened emergency congress at Nsukka campus and tabled the issue of Dr. Agbo’s attempt to represent the union in the meeting with the VC without the branch chairman, Dr. Abada.

Speaker of House of Assembly and 26 Members Decamp to APC

The All Progressives Congress is leaving no one in doubt about their readiness to take over the leadership of the country from the PDP-led federal government as the party's Broom Revolution continues like a tsunami.

The latest state in Nigeria to completely fall into the hands of the fast-growing party is Sokoto as 27 members of the PDP in the State House of Assembly, including the Speaker, have defected to APC.

As it stand now, only three members in the Assembly are left in PDP out of 30 men...

The defection was announced on Wednesday afternoon on the floor of the Assembly by the Speaker, Alhaji Lawalli Zayyana, who also maintains his position as speaker.

It was a total take over by the Broom Revolution as the defected members immediately brought out brooms to celebrate their move after the announcement of their names by the speaker.

You may wish to know that Governor Wamakko and his supporters have since dumped PDP for the APC.

SEE Pastor Oritsejafor's Reaction to the Actions of Controversial Pastor Fireman

The leadership of CAN led by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has in the past had reasons to report the controversial Pastor Sign Fireman to the EFCC for investigation.

According to reports, many were first introduced to the 'life and style' of Pastor Fireman by a UK TV station, Channel 4’s Unreported World, in November 2011. Nigerians were astounded to say the least, but not as astounded as Pastor Oristejafor and CAN as a body as they wondered where Fireman was coming from.

Pastor Oritsejafor, while crying out about the activities of Pastor Fireman, said:

“Who is this Rev Dr sef? Who ordained him and where has his church been paying their tithe to? Definitely not to CAN. Oyedepo we know, Oyakhilome we know, even TB Joshua we know. But Fayaman, we do NOT know!”
I hear that CAN leadership then mandated the EFCC to commence a thorough and intrusive investigation into the real identity of Pastor Fireman, his nationality (as no sane Nigerian parent would give such names) and his money making tactics.

Some of the questions CAN want answered include:

* How did Pastor Sign Fireman manage to amass such a large congregation without being noticed?
* What is he trying to imply by calling his church the Perfect Christianity Mission?
* On his Facebook fan page, one of his followers writes: “My daddy, I am one of the beneficiaries of your car gift…” How is he able to give cars away to his Church members?

But unfortunately, it seems EFCC did not take CAN's petition seriously. Sadly, the burble has finally burst!

EXPOSED: Jonathan Orders Sanusi To Resign Over His Letter; Sanusi Says No

Sycophancy is the problem that has kept Nigeria backward all these years, it's so bad that no one can dare to challenge the President even if he is wrong. Sanusi Lamido has said such can't happen in the CBN:

As you read this, President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered CBN Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to resign immediately on the grounds that the letter Sanusi wrote to him on the unremitted $49.8 billion oil money to the Federation Account was leaked to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo by Sanusi himself.

But Sanusi said all that is cheap politics and vowed that Jonathan can't force him to resign because based on the constitution of Nigeria, he could only be removed from office by two-thirds of the Senate.

Jonathan called Sanusi on phone but he was shocked as they had a heated exchange...

According to THISDAY, the president had called Sanusi and accused him of leaking the letter to Obasanjo, which enabled the former President to use it as one of the many allegations he levelled against Jonathan in his letter titled: “Before It is Too Late”.
