APC Set To Visit Obasanjo

The men in APC are bent on penetrating all facets of Nigeria before 2015. The leadership of the party is to meet with ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and tell him the reason behind the formation of the mega party.

"We have been visiting others like the G-7 governors; we have all visited former heads of state, and we intend to visit former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, any time he is available to ask for understanding and brief him on why we formed the APC."

This is according to former Head of State and a leader of the party, Muhammadu Buhari. He stated this in an interview with journalists at the residence of a former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in Abuja.

He said the leadership of the party had been visiting other notable Nigerians and that the time had come for it to also pay a visit to ex-President Obasanjo.

Amaechi Blasts Jonathan Again

Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi has revealed the core of his frosty relationship with President Goodluck Jonathan, saying the state is being victimised. Amaechi, who is the Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, noted that he left the PDP for the APC to protect the interest of Rivers people.

"For Rivers State, basically that is the cause of the quarrel and you have a choice to make. The choice for me is to vote out PDP and there is no sentiment about that. 

"Legally, we have not lost Soku (oil wells). We have just lost Soku to the fact that the President is from Bayelsa. When a President that is not from Bayelsa comes, he will look at the facts and the facts are there.

"The Federal Government, in writing in the court, said to the court: ‘sorry, court, we made a mistake; we will correct the mistake’ and we have told the Federal Government: ‘don’t call us for a meeting; go and correct that mistake. How could you people wake up in 2011… suddenly changed the map of Nigeria and take Soku (a part of Rivers State) into Bayelsa State?”

Amaechi also said the Jonathan administration refused to carry on a very important road project awarded by the Olusegun Obasanjo administration to link the oil-rich Bonny Island in the state.

He said: “That road to Bonny was awarded by former President Olusegun Obasanjo. They started; they have done just one bridge... President Goodluck Jonathan has forgotten about that road completely, despite the fact that part of the money that feeds the Nigerian economy comes from that place, Bonny. That’s where you have the natural gas plant.”

TB Joshua's Prophecy Now Being Fulfilled in South Sudan?

According to NairobiWire, Kenya, Sometime in late October or early November, Nigerian prophet TB Joshua prophesied that an East Africa president would be abducted by terrorists. Were it any other prophet, that would probably have gone unreported, but TB Joshua was right on the death of Malawi President Bingu wa Mutharika.

This prophecy was distorted by the internets, prompting his ministry to release the statement below... “This is an official message from Prophet T.B. Joshua and The SCOAN. There are distorted rumors spreading on the internet concerning T.B. Joshua’s prophecy this past Sunday. Rumors are saying that the man of God said that an East African country will soon be kidnapped by terrorists and that a night club would be blown up. Do not listen to the father of lies.

“These are not the words used by the prophet. Prophet T.B. Joshua specifically asked journalists not to misquote his prophecy.

“He said that he saw a leader being captured. The prophet instructed the people of God to fast and pray on Wednesday and Thursday. He said Wednesday and Thursday had nothing to do with what was going to happen, but the people of God should fast and pray on those days. He also told the congregation that he will stay in an attitude of prayer for the country concerned, so that God might subdue this coming evil to a mere sign.

“He said that the country concerned is not Kenya, but a country close to it. He mentioned that it is the same country in which a similar event took place while they were drinking and dancing.

“He will continue to pray for them, but he will not mention their names unless God instructs him to do so. This is because many would begin to spread rumors and false allegations against himself, the leader, and the country rather than pray for them. He said if prayer and security are not in place, the blood of thousands will be wasted. Let us all stay in an attitude of faith and prayer, in Jesus’ name.”

The wording of the prophecy prompted many to claim that the country in question was Uganda. This is especially because of the 'drinking and dancing' part, since a nightclub in Uganda was bombed a few years back.

Prophesies are however known to have deep interpretations, and only the prophet knows exactly what he means.

That takes us to recent events in South Sudan, where Salva Kiir's government has just survived a coup attempt. Fighting is however still ongoing. Only time will tell whether TB Joshua was talking about South Sudan.

AMAECHI IMPEACHMENT: Patience Jonathan Meets Anti-Amaechi Lawmakers In Rivers

The impeachment plot being hatched against Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State is said to have gained momentum on Friday as the First Lady, Patience Jonathan reportedly met with the group of six legislators who are against the Amaechi-led administration.

Mrs. Jonathan is in Rivers to attend the wedding of a relative and reports say she presided over meetings with the 6 anti-Amaechi legislators and other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executives in the state.

The rebel lawmakers have been trying to gain entrance into the State House of Assembly...

Rumours of a planned session in the state House of Assembly by the six anti-Amaechi lawmakers had spread earlier in the day, but the complex remained locked by the police.

The police last night warned the warring state lawmakers to keep off the House after receiving notice of appeal filed by the National Assembly against a High Court judgement declaring as unconstitutional the take-over of the functions of the Assembly by the federal legislators.

It was gathered that the First Lady met in Port Harcourt and her Okrika hometown with the anti-Amaechi men to strategizen the way forward since they have been loosing in the courts.

The calculation of the group is to have the self-acclaimed Speaker of the House of Assembly, Evans Bipi, take over the affairs of the state once the plot succeeds with the Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike, waiting in the wings to fly the PDP ticket in the governorship election that will follow.

President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, announced and unveilled the first indigenous unmanned aerial vehicle, UAV, named GULMA, built by the Nigerian Air Force in Kaduna.
He declared that the giant technological breakthrough of various sectors, particularly the Armed Forces, are pointers to the country’s potential for greater deeds.
In his speech at the unveiling ceremony, President Jonathan said: “We must not forget the lesson of this encouraging moment in our nation’s history; that as Nigerians we are capable of great deeds.
“In the same manner, we must not forget that ahead of us still lie challenges that we must surmount. We must, therefore, stay focused on our common national purpose.
“Today marks another landmark moment in our nation’s history, as we gather here to witness the unveiling of our country’s first indigenous unmanned aerial vehicle, which has been designed and constructed by the Nigeria Air Force.
“Besides its diverse military application, unmanned aerial vehicle provides mankind with a range of benefits in disaster management, power line surveys, law enforcement, telecommunications, weather monitoring, and aerial imaging/mapping.
“It is also rapidly becoming an important tool in news coverage, environmental monitoring, and oil and gas exploration.
“Considering the potential impact of its benefit and versatility, I cannot but say how proud I am of the men and women of our Armed Forces.
“Apart from their commitment to the protection of our sovereignty, they are helping to keep our nation ahead in military science and technology and to keep their civilian counterparts on their toes.”

SHOCKING: How Woman Strangles Bus Driver While Holding His Manhood To Death Over N10 (PHOTO)

A bus passenger was on Monday, Dec 16th arrested by Edo State police officials for allegedly killing an innocent bus driver over the weekend.

The young commercial bus driver identified as Eze was believed to be in his late 20′s while the woman that killed him is 38-year-old.
Last Saturday, Eze died when his bus passenger strangled him while holding on to his manhood.
The incident was said to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday after the bus driver carried the passenger to the junction of Ohovbe Road, Off Benin Agbor Road, Ikpoba Hill for N40, but the woman entered the bus on argument and refused to pay the N40 instead she paid N30. This angered the driver and when he requested for his balance she refused, this angered  the driver that he started cursing the woman calling her names.
Angered by the name calling, the female passenger then held the driver’s neck while still inside the car. People then gathered to settle the dispute and begged the woman let go of his neck. Moments later, the woman returned to meet the driver who had his seat belt on and held his neck with one hand and used her other hand to hold his manhood and started pulling it.
The man begged the woman to leave him but the woman was even more angry by this time, passers by intervened again but it seems the woman was bent on venting out her anger.
When the driver tried to come out of his car, he fell to the ground and started stretching and gasping for breath. People around rushed the driver to a nearby hospital while others whisked the woman to a nearby police station. The young man reportedly died few hours later.

No Plans to Call off Strike Yet – ASUP

As the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities near its end following a National Executive Council meeting held yesterday, the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP) has said it has no plan to call off its own strike which is now over two months

ASUP embarked on strike on October 4, after expressing disappointment at the federal government’s cold attitude towards polytechnic education in Nigeria.

Sources have come forward to state that Mariah Carey’s trip to Nigeria cost Access Bank around the sum of N200million.
The bank’s outgoing MD, Aig Imokhuede had reportedly wanted the beautiful singer to sing for him in person, and the bank had decided to make his send-off grand by granting him his wish.
The sum is particularly extravagant, considering that the bank had just recently laid off 200 staff.

SHOCKING! Man Stabs Prostitute For Not Giving Him His Used Condoms

Drama ensued recently in Alhaji Oluseyi Way in Okota, a densely populated area of Lagos when an unidentified man stabbed a commercial sex worker with a bottle for refusing to give him used condoms after sex.
It was gathered that the man, after having an all-night marathon sex with the lady demanded for the used condoms the following day but the lady turned him down, saying that she had disposed them.
However, the man maintained that the lady must produce the condoms so he could disposed them himself, apparently afraid of being used for ritual.
Consequent to the lady’s refusal to produce the used condoms, fight ensued and the visibly angry man pounced on her, beating her blue black.
Other members of the sex ring joined the fight and overpowered him. The man reportedly picked up a bottle and stabbed one of them.
He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Police Command at Ago-Okota Division.
When DailyPost correspondent arrived at the scene, the victim, a diminutive lady was seen ranting at the top of her voice.
She said, “Na our own business we dey do here, we no dey carry person sperm do anything. Anybody wey say e no go better for us, na God go punish am.”
You dey fear say dem go use your sperm dom something and you dey do. God go punish you and your family. Shameless man,” she asserted.
Efforts to speak with her proved abortive as she was quickly rushed to one of the nearby clinics for medical attention.
