The eagerly anticipated Guaranty Trust Bank End of the Year party
held last night, and it lived up to the bar, except for one minor flop:
Wizkid.
Social media was littered by fans who complained about the Star Boy
artiste’s performance, who were disappointed because the organizers had
saved the best for the last.
Wizkid had come on stage in a stoned state, clearly not in the right
frame of mind to perform, with fans saying he did “more talking than
singing”, and that “people stopped dancing when he came on”.
The other performers were on point with the likes of Flavour, Wande
Coal, and Olamide giving the crowd a swell time, up until Wizkid came
up.
The organizers were obviously not pleased with Wizzy’s performance,
and the Star Boy reportedly worsening matters by getting in a fight back
stage with Wande Coal.
There seems to be a lot going on in Wizkid’s life at the moment, as
many blogs report he has broken up with girlfriend Tania Omotayo, and
last night’s horrible episode may be in some way related to it.
Whatever it is, we hope he gets his groove back soon.
And the Black Diamond Wande Coal gave an amazing show, the Antenna King Fuse ODG turned up to support plus Lola Rae & her sexy boys provided the steam.
On the 15th of November 2013, Wande Coal
headlined GTBank’s GTcrea8 Free concert for students at London’s
Indigo O2. And from the reports and the pictures, the main acts and the
supporting acts did not disappoint, not even for one second. It was an
amazing show.
The Black Diamond had the crowd dancing the night away to his big
hits from his Mo’Hits days to the present. While the crowd were shaking
and bouncing, Wande brought out a surprise guest to perform one of the
biggest Afrobeats hits of the year.
2013 Mobo award winner Fuse ODG took to the stage as the two stars performed a remix of the international hit “Antenna” and the crowd wet wild.
Other stars who performed are Dizzy VC, DRB Las Gidi, Lola Rae and Honey B all gave equally electrifying performances.
